Rift Raid August 15, 2008 Sign-Ups

Another extremely successful raid last night! We started where we left off the day before after the second boss and cleared all the way to just after the sixth boss, and without ever wiping too!! Had just one real problem with a few deaths on the fifth boss, Narnulabat, but we recovered and took him down on the second try. Tonight we hope to finish up the Rift with the last two bosses, Thrang and the Balrog (Thaurlach)!! If you're level 50 and want to join us, we'll be starting the group around 7pm CST (8pm EST) and heading into the Rift about 8pm CST (9pm EST). Hope to see you there!!!

We had an extremely successful raid last night for so many first-timers to be in the group. We were nearly flawless until the first boss, then wiped once and took him down the second try. The path to the second boss was a little more trying, with a few times where people weren't listening like they should, which resulted in a wipe (twice before the boss, I think). Even though the second boss is easier than the first, having only one LM and no Burglars made it much more difficult without that extra mez. After a couple of wipes on Zurm, we finished him off though Congratulations to everyone who got something from the run! I look forward to more in the near future!

Well, it's here! The first scheduled Rift raid for the Light of Valinor! The plan is to enter the Rift around 9pm CST on Friday, August 15, to begin explanations on how the raid works, and then begin the first level immediately afterward. If things go well, we should be able to take out the first 2 bosses. If things go real well, then we'll see how much further we make it

Please note that the explanations are crucial to a successful Rift raid, so if you sign up and join us, be prepared to listen up well. It's very easy to screw something up inside the Rift, especially if you don't listen to the leader

If you would like to participate, please respond below. I'll do my best to update the main post wtih a roster.

Minimum level is 49, with preference given to level 50s first

Everyone should plan on bringing:
3 (+5)Hope Tokens per person (15 or 30 minutes, your pick)
Essences of Athelas
Celebrant Salves
Oils for hunters
Lembas (or other heal-over-time foods)


The raid is planned to include the following make-up: (12 total, and subject to change)
2-3 Guardians
2 Minstrels
2 Lore-Masters
2 Hunters
1 Burglar
1-2 Champions
1-2 Captains

**Please note that signing up before someone else does not guarantee your spot. I will create the groups based not only on the order of sign-ups, but also the best groups I see possible. If you don't make it this time, a spot will be there for you next time.**

Oh, and the PuG rift runs I've went on (as well as those w/ my other kin) all require us to bring 20 Fear Pots (cures silence as well as fear), 20 wound pots (for when the LM for some odd reason can't AOE heal wounds in combat), and 20 disease pots. I also carry 20 poison pots too on the chance a hunter doesn't see that I'm poisoned (evil mushrooms o'd00m).

I can't come but I'll make Lembas for anyone who needs it. I'll start working on a supply tonight and tommorow. Monies for materials would be apreciated.

I'll try to get together with Zak and get some Cooking scrolls as well to increase teh odds for superior. Let me know also if you want Trail foods. +might/Vit/Agility
