What is the behind this need and love to play this game?
This quote from John Rhys-Davies (Gimli) seems to sum it up..........

"Many of us have an enormous hunger for adventure, for a dynamic life that can only be
encountered in the world of imagination. And Tolkien feeds that hunger with a book that is
about the struggle of right and wrong, about th belief that good will triumph over evil, about
courage in the face of oppression and about the willingness to sacrifice yourself for the
greater good. These are the true determiners of a heroic civilization, and in our hearts,
we all want to be part of just such a heroic civilization."

Truism? Yes?
or maybe we just like killing monsters.

Adventure onward!
