For each class, there are 3 Books that give a legendary trait. For each book, pages must be collected to complete it and acquire a legendary skill. You can start working towards completing them once you hit level 39, but you cannot equip your first legendary trait until level 41.

All 3 books can be bought from the Auction House. One book from each class has pages that can be bought on the AH, meaning anyone can loot them. The other two books have pages that must be looted yourself. Once you loot or buy a book, and it enters your inventory, the book will automatically go into your deed log if you have not started or completed the respective deed. The same method applies for the pages.

Once the books go into your inventory and the deed has started, check your deed log. You will have to talk to someone before you can begin adding pages to the book (The deed will tell you who the person is). After you have talked to the correct person, you can start searching for pages.

Also note that after you turn in all of your class quest items, you do get a 4th legendary trait.

Taken from the forums, here is where you can find the drops for your pages. They won't drop every time and sometimes you'll end up spending hours just grinding to get that one last elusive page. Hopefully this list will help you to narrow down what you still need to kill!

Pages from two of the Legendary Books for each class are found on creatures in either Angmar or the Misty Mountains on Evil Men, Evil Dwarves, Ancient Evil creatures, Giant-kind, Orc-kind, Troll-kind, or Wights. Pages for the third book can drop from any 39+ mob anywhere in the world, and can be traded.
